OAW Expeditions was founded by Ryan Peters, driven by his lifelong passion for nature and fishing. A native Texan turned Michigander, Ryan grew up fishing from an early age and developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors through his journey as an Eagle Scout. With years of kitchen experience and a passion for cooking, you can look forward to delicious meals prepared at camp. OAW is dedicated to delivering unforgettable adventures and showcasing the beauty of Michigan’s rivers. Our main focus is targeting hard-hitting smallmouth bass but you’ll also come across largemouth bass, pike, and carp. There’s also a possibility of targeting big brown trout in the late summer and early fall. Some of our favorite rivers are the Manistee, Muskegon, Au Sable, Thunder Bay, and the Flat.
